God has called us from the state of Iowa to come and start Old Paths Baptist Church in Calera, Alabama. Our first service will be March 15, 2009. Our Family and Our Call I come from a Pastor's home and I accepted the Lord Jesus
as my personal Saviour at an early age. In 1982 I ventured off to Tabernacle
Baptist Bible College under the direction of Dr. Harold Sightler. It was
there I met my lovely wife Angela to whom I have been married to for 22
wonderful years. Angea comes from a missionary's home and was saved at
the age of 13. The Lord has blessed us with three wonderful children.
Matthew (age 18), Kristina (age 16), and Caleb (age 11). They all know
the Lord as their Saviour. In July of 2007, the Lord starting working on my heart about surrendering to the ministry. Seven months later I surrendered my life to the Lord to Preach the Gospel. Through prayer, we were placed in the path of Gospel Light Baptist Church in Helena, Alabama. Pastor Steve Kilpatrick and his church have had a vision for 2 years of starting a new church 25 miles south in the town of Calera, Alabama which has a current population of 18,000 people with no Independent Baptist church for them to attend. This truly is a field white unto harvest as the Bible tells us in John. 4:35. We are thankful that the Lord has chosen to place us in this area to share the gospel in this lost and dying world. We echo the request of Paul in I Thessalonians 5:25, Brethren, pray for us.
We want to do our part in reaching our Jerusalem in the state of Alabama by establishing a local New Testament Baptist Church.
Gods Plan: Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. - Mark 16:15 Jesus' Statement: The harvest truly is plenteous, but the laborers are few. - Matthew 9:37 Jesus Promise: I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. - Matthew 16:18 Our Prayer: Wilt thou not revive us again: that thy people may rejoice in thee? - Psalms 85:6
